Below I have included 3 easy ways to boost your daily totals of movement without even really realizing it. It’s proven that for folks’ that are just becoming reacquainted with exercise that their daily lifestyle choices are the single largest determining factor in sticking with a healthy and active lifestyle.   1. Take the stairs – Yep, it’s that easy. When you’re out and about, look for the stairs instead of the lift. Research shows an hour of stairs will burn up to 518 calories¹ and according to livestrong.com just 3 minutes of stairs will burn 29 calories in a 160lbs person! Crazy.
  2. Grow a garden! – Multiple reasons that this one is so great. In just one hour you can burn up to 431 calories!¹ And hey, once the fruits (and veggies) of your labour come to, you have healthy, locally grown whole foods. Perfect, right?!
  3. Walk your dog! – You know Fido wants to go out for a romp in the dog park. So burn up to 302 calories by taking your pooch out for a little bonding time!¹
