To Teach the Man to Fish

Today was inspiring. Top to bottom, I think the past 24 hours were some of the biggest and most rewarding hours I have had in a while. I always try to learn from each situation I face and today’s battles brought new light to crucial confrontation, leadership, motivation, personal control and responsibility and integrity…. There’s probably a bunch else I forgot but it’s late and I will touch on those points another time.
Personal feats for the day
1. Announcement of my promotion to Assistant Fitness Manager was made company wide today, so yeah – that’s a thing!
2. I was able to put in a lot more effort and volume without any residual pain or discomfort in my knee. So clearly the rest and anti-inflammatory meds are working to rid my body of ITBS. I’m going to be back in full flight by next Tuesday!
3. Had my first public speaking engagement at Ronald McDonald House tonight. I shared my story, then enlightened those fine folks with stress management, nutrition, holistic health and coping strategies and stuck around to answer all their very awesome questions. Fulfilling experience like none other.
I taught a man to fish, and I fed him for a lifetime.
Feels great!
